According to PBS data, both cities recorded a Rs100 reduction in the price of a 20kg bag of flour over the past week.
Following the decrease, a 20kg bag is now priced at Rs3,300 in Peshawar and Rs3,200 in Bannu.
The report noted that a week earlier, the same quantity of flour cost Rs3,400 in Peshawar and Rs3,300 in Bannu.
The latest figures indicate an equal reduction in flour prices in the two cities during the period under review. However, the report does not provide details of price changes across all cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, so the decline cannot be confirmed as a province-wide trend.
