The Batman director Matt Reeves has revealed his plans to create ‘Batverse’ with the coming movie ‘The Batman’ starring famous actor Robert Pattinson.
The director in an interview explained how The Batman is a separate entity and not a part of DCEU. “What I really wanted this movie to do was create a Batverse. You don’t do a story and go, ‘This is Chapter 1’ because you might not get to do Chapter 2,” the actor said.
“So, the story had to stand on its own. But the thing about it is that the Bat world is so rich with character that as you’re starting to come to an end, you can already start thinking about the next thing,” he maintained.

“Because the idea, of course, is that Gotham’s story never ends,” Reeves said. Other than Pattinson, the movie will see Paul Dano as the Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, aka Selina Kyle, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and more.
‘The Batman’ movie is said to be a film of two hours and 55 minutes. As such, it’s the longest-running time of any solo Batman pic and one of the longest for a theatrical superhero movie, behind rival Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, which ran three hours and one minute on its way to becoming the No. 2 top-grossing film of all time at the global box office, not adjusted for inflation. The movie will open in theaters nationwide on March 4.
