KARACHI: A massive fire that broke out at a towel factory in the New Karachi area of the metropolis on Friday.
According to fire brigade officials, the fire erupted at a towel factory in Bashir Chowk of New Karachi engulfed the two-story building.
After receiving information about the four fire, the fire brigade officials along with water bowser reached the spot and brought the fire under control, the official added.
The officials said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained yet. On this occasion, the brigade officials told that there was no casualty due to fire, however, valuables worth millions of rupees were gutted to ashes in the fire.
Last month, about 150 huts were gutted when a fire erupted in slums at Teen Hatti area near Liaquatabad.

According to fire brigade officials, a massive fire broke out in the slums located beneath Teen Hatti Bridge. As a result, two people sustained injuries and more than 120 huts were gutted.
Soon after the incident, three fire brigade vehicles, rescue teams and a huge contingent of police, rangers reached the scene and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of two hours.
