A local Court of Dera Ismail Khan granted bail to Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen in two of four sedition cases.
The bail applications in the other two cases, also pertaining to sedition, are pending before the court.
PTM lawyer Farhat Afridi stated that hearings of the two pending cases are expected to be held on Monday.
Talking to a private news-channel, Mohsin Dawar said that, “The court announced the reserved verdict today and ordered to release Manzoor Pashteen on bail in two cases.”
Earlier on Friday, the DI Khan Court reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from both the defence and the prosecution
Earlier on January 27, Manzoor Pashteen was arrested from Peshawar’s Shaheen Town and sent to Peshawar Central Jail on a 14-day judicial remand by a magistrate.
