Erik Ten Hag has made no secret of the fact that he still wants to sign several new players before the transfer window closes at the very beginning of this coming September, however Ajax has rejected Manchester United’s 90 million euro bid for Antony, the number one target for Erik Ten Hag.
Manchester United is considering whether to make an improved bid for Antony after seeing a €90 million offer rejected by Ajax, according to ESPN.
United has been after the Brazilian for several weeks now, and have already had an 80 million euro bid rejected by the Dutch club.
United increased their bid after a €80m offer was turned down earlier this month, but it has not been enough to get Ajax to agree a deal.
PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo, Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram are also on the radar with Erik ten Hag keen to strengthen his forward line before next week’s transfer deadline.
Although this second offer has been rejected, it has been said talks are ongoing between the two sides.
