The 52-year-old actress, who had a successful film career, took ‘sanyas’ and underwent a consecration ceremony. She was blessed by Acharya Laxmi Narayan Tripathi and Mahant Ravindra Puri, key spiritual figures. Kulkarni also performed the sacred ‘Pind Daan’ ritual on the banks of the Ganges.
