The security forces have gunned down six Khawarjis during a North Waziristan Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO), while an Army Major and a sepoy embraced martyrdom defending their homeland while performing their duties.
As reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during which troops effectively engaged the Khawarij location, and as a result, six Khawarjis were gunned down.
During the gunfight, Major Hamza Israr, 29, and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem, 26, were martyred in an exchange of fire with the Khawarij. ISPR has made it clear that sanitization operations are being carried out to eliminate any other Khawarji found in the area.
Moreover, the ISPR further stated that the security forces are determined to wipe out the threat of terrorism, and such sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen the resolve of the Pakistan Army and the security forces.
A sepoy of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom during a security forces’ infiltration attempt at the Pak-Afghan border, killing four terrorists to ensure the defense of their homeland. ISPR confirmed that the movement of a Khawarji group was picked up by security forces in the Rajgal area of District Khyber.
In order to combat terrorism, it is essential to keep fighting them and resolve all political issues if they help eliminate terror groups and terror financing at any stage of such efforts. Security forces are well-equipped to fight against terrorism, while the nation stands behind them, offering full support.
