The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two individuals in the federal capital for impersonating intelligence officials.
The suspects, identified as Shegan Jamshed and Jamshed Khan, were posing as officers from Pakistan’s intelligence agencies and blackmailing Senate officials. Both have been taken into custody and have confessed to extorting influential personalities.
The imposters were deceiving people by falsely promising jobs in the Senate in exchange for money. A case has been registered at the Secretariat police station following a complaint by a senior Senate officer.
One of the accused has also been charged in a separate fraud case involving millions of rupees. He was allegedly using a counterfeit agency card from the Senate Secretariat to carry out personal dealings.
