Hamas on Thursday released an Israeli female soldier in the third phase of the hostage release in the Gaza ceasefire.
According to Arab media, the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas released Israeli female soldier Agham Burger from near the home of martyred Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Jabaliya under the ceasefire agreement.
The released woman was handed over to the Red Cross, which took her to Israeli authorities.
Israeli army has also confirmed that Agam Burger had arrived in Israel.
It should be noted that under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, 8 hostages are to be released today in exchange for the release of 110 Palestinian prisoners.
Under the ceasefire agreement, Israel is bound to withdraw forces from the Netzarim Corridor to permit hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians to return to their homes in northern Gaza.
Israel is expected to open the Rafah border for more humanitarian aid and other supplies.
During the Israeli military offensive in Gaza, over 47,000 Palestinians were killed, according to the Gaza authorities, with half of the casualties being women and children.
