Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices were slashed by Rs40 per kg in Karachi, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
As per the report, the price of LPG has come down from Rs290 to Rs250 per kg in the city.
Citizens were happy with the massive reduction in LPG prices and demanded that the government should also provide relief to the people in other things like food commodities. A citizen said the gas supply should also be ensured before the start of Ramazan next month.
It should be noted that almost every area in the metropolitan is facing gas load shedding for many months and the citizens are compelled to use gas cylinders during load shedding time to cook food. It has doubled the expenses of the citizens, who have been facing historical inflation for the last three years.
In this context, the reduction in LPG price is a sigh of relief to the citizens.
