Grand Peace Jirga in Karak on Sunday gave a three-day deadline for all armed groups to leave the area, otherwise, stern action would be taken against them.
In a joint statement issued after the conclusion of the Grand Jirga, It was stated that the State should provide all necessary assistance and support to local police for decisive action against these armed groups.
The statement urged the government to grant authority to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) to fight against terrorists existing in the territory.
Grand Jirga asked the government to ensure full implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) in this regard.
The Jirga said that strict action should be taken against the Taliban without any discrimination, appealing to the State to show seriousness for action against terrorists identify their supporters, and also impose their social boycott.
Prominent among those who participated in the Jirga were MNA Shahid Khattak, Provincial Minister for Agriculture, Major Sajjad Barkuwal, ex-Advisor on Department of Prisons Malik Qasim Khan, Provincial Joint Secretary JUI Malik Ammad Azam, ex-MNA Shamsur Rehman, ex-MPA Mehar Sultana advocate while hundreds of people belonging to different political parties also attended the Grand Peace Jirga.
