WASHINGTON: Gold prices continued to decline at the start of the trading week, with spot gold falling 0.5% to $4,405.47 per ounce. The precious metal had also recorded a 1% decline on Friday.
Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery fell 0.5% to $4,452.20 per ounce.
The broader precious metals market also remained under pressure. Spot silver declined 0.2% to $66.03 per ounce, while platinum fell 0.8% to $1,805.53 per ounce. Palladium also declined 0.7%, reaching $1,396.08 per ounce.
