ISLAMABAD: Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) prices in Punjab and Islamabad have been reduced by Rs 9 per litre while further reduction is likely expected in the upcoming few days.
The new price has been reduced from Rs93.50 paisa to Rs84.50 paise per kg. Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Ghiyas Paracha in this regard said that the decision was made due to the reduction of LNG prices in the global market.
It should be noted that imported LNG is sold at CNG stations in Punjab and Islamabad. He also cited that a further reduction in the price of CNG in April. He clarified that Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also remain optimistic, with both the provinces discussing the government with the cheap CNG.
In addition, the Ministry of Petroleum had rejected the possibility of a hike in prices of petroleum products in April.
The spokesperson said the prices of all products, including petrol and diesel, will remain at the price that was on 25th March.
