Actor Vikas Sethi, known for his roles in popular TV shows like “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and “Kahiin To Hoga”, passed away in his sleep following a cardiac arrest on Saturday night in Nashik, according to Indian news agency PTI.
His wife, Jhanvi Sethi, shared that the couple had traveled to Nashik for a family event when Vikas started feeling unwell. “After we reached my mother’s house in Nashik, he began vomiting and had loose motions. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so we called a doctor to the house,” she told PTI. “When I went to wake him up around 6 a.m. on Sunday, he was no more. The doctor informed us that he passed away in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest.”
Vikas Sethi’s mortal remains have been sent to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. His last rites are set to take place in Mumbai on Monday.
In addition to his television career, Sethi had a role in the 2001 Bollywood hit “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”, where he played Robbie, a friend of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character, Poo.
He is survived by his wife and their twin sons.
