KSA raids in Peshawar, toxic fruit recovered

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority (KSA) has recovered toxic fruit while conducting operations in different cities.

The Food Safety Authority raided the factory in the Pind area of Swat and sealed the factory after recovering harmful cherries.

In Mardan, the Food Safety Authority conducted an operation and recovered substandard spices and expired oil from the chips factory.

The Food Safety Authority sealed two factories for using washing powder in suites in Monda Bazaar Lower Dir and destroyed more than 2,000 liters of delicate milk in a mixture at DI Khan.

According to sources, DG Food Authority Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman said that six spice production units have been sealed for manufacturing unhealthy spices.

The DG Food Authority said that Salman Traders in Jhang were sealed for selling adulterated coriander powder, chilies, and spices, while Adnan Sweets (Egyptian Production Unit) in New Khalidabad for selling harmful chemicals and dyes. Sealed.

Bran, wood shavings, and unhealthy textile dyes were being used in the preparation of chilies. The meat safety team took action against the poultry shop for the presence of sick and emaciated chickens.
