KARACHI: Water has accumulated in various places due to continuous rains for the last three days. Vehicles and motorcycles have been submerged in standing water on the roads. It has also entered houses and shops in low-lying areas.
According to details, during the rains, the streets of Karachi began to look like streams. The flow of water in Gujjar Nala increased. Garbage began to flow along the roads.
Vehicles and motorcycles sank in the rain. In the area of Nagan Chowrangi, water has entered the shops, which has brought the business of the shopkeepers to a standstill.

Rainwater also accumulated in Sakhi Hassan Cemetery while at least three people were killed due to electrocution in different areas. The heaviest rainfall was in Surjani Town.
During the last 24 hours, maximum rainfall of 65 mm was recorded in Surjani, 49 mm in North Karachi, 47 mm in Quaidabad, and 37 mm at PAF Faisal Base.
Around 22 mm of rain was recorded in Orangi Town, 19 mm in Saadi Town and 14 mm in Gadap Town. Due to standing water in some places, the citizens are facing difficulties in transportation.
