K-Electric (KE) announced on Wednesday that Shaheryar Chishty has been elected chairman of its board. The development was disclosed in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
According to the notice, the appointment follows the election of directors during the Extraordinary General Meeting held on April 2, 2026. Subsequently, the Board of Directors, in its meeting on April 15, formally named Chishty as chairman.
Earlier, in March, KE had assigned Chishty to perform the chairman’s duties in the absence of Mark Skelton. The company had communicated that interim arrangement to the PSX at the time.
Chishty is the founder of AsiaPak Investments, established in 2011, now recognized as a leading infrastructure investment platform in Pakistan.
Before launching AsiaPak, he built an extensive career in investment banking in Hong Kong, holding senior leadership roles at Citigroup and Nomura.
