Electricity utility KE has announced a comprehensive scheduled maintenance shutdown for Saturday, July 26, 2026, affecting dozens of feeders across Karachi.
The planned maintenance is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve the reliability, safety, and stability of the power distribution network.
According to the maintenance schedule, electricity supply will remain suspended for varying durations, with outages beginning as early as 7:54 AM and extending until 8:00 PM on certain feeders.
The AL-ATHER feeder will experience the longest interruption, with power remaining unavailable from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Several other feeders, including Saffron Engineering, RRP, Associated Glass, and Anum Classics, are also scheduled for extended maintenance outages lasting between 9 and 10 hours.
Most residential and commercial feeders—including AL-HAMRA, Avenue Centre, Jelani Centre, KDA TP-03, New Neham, Lakhani Tower, Maria Homes, Precision Rubber, Shaista Builder, VAY Water, Valika Industry, and International Ceramic—will remain without electricity primarily between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on the individual feeder schedule.
Industrial zones such as Ideal Industry (Gul BL-1), Fine Gas 02, Fine Gas 03, Bulk Management, Farooqi Ice, Universal RMU, and Wonder Bread (Lal Shahbaz) are also included in the maintenance plan.
KE has advised consumers residing in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance, as power supply will be restored only after the successful completion of maintenance work.
The utility stated that these planned shutdowns are essential to ensure improved system performance, reduce the risk of unplanned outages, and facilitate infrastructure upgrades.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to plan their daily activities accordingly, especially those relying on uninterrupted electricity for commercial operations, healthcare equipment, or other essential services.
