ISLAMABAD: A joint sitting of Parliament for important legislation including electronic voting machines in the country is underway and being chaired by the chairmanship of Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.
Today, around 29 legal bills will be introduced in the joint sitting of the National Assembly and Senate, including Electoral Amendment Bill 2021 and Electoral Amendment Bill II, while Electoral Reforms Bills will be introduced by Babar Awan.
A meeting of the united opposition chaired by opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif decided on the strategy for the joint sitting of parliament. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on Leader of the Opposition, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif in the National Assembly on Wednesday in connection with the joint sitting of Parliament.

Later, before the joint sitting of the Parliament, a parliamentary meeting of the PDM was held under the chairmanship of Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting was attended by members of PML-N and other parties of the PDM.
On the other hand, Federal Law Minister Forough Naseem said that bills of public interest are being presented, should be passed, the government will not fail, our numerical majority is present in the parliament.
