ISLAMABAD: Jammat-e-Islami (JI) activists broke through security blockades to reach the Indian High Commission located in the Diplomatic Enclave.
The party activists were protesting against the derogatory remarks recently made by two leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against the Holy Prophet (PBUH)
The protestors pelted stones at the police forcing them to retreat. The police had barred the protestors from entering the Red Zone amid security concerns.
Police made repetitive announcements warning the workers from entering the restricted areas. However, the enraged denied orders pelting stones at the police, forcing them to retreat. The protest finished after the party workers offered Maghrib prayers outside the embassy and dispersed.
