Jemima Goldsmith, former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has alleged that the government has threatened to arrest her son if they arrive in Pakistan, adding that Kasim and Suleiman are not being allowed to speak to their father on the phone.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, she alleged that her former husband has been kept in solitary confinement for nearly two years.
Jemima claimed that the Pakistani government has issued threats, stating that if her sons attempt to travel to Pakistan to meet their father, they too will be arrested and imprisoned. She said such actions have no place in a democracy, calling it not politics but an act of personal vendetta.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister’s adviser Rana Sanaullah has previously said that anyone who comes from abroad to incite unrest will be arrested.
Barrister Aqeel Malik also clarified that if a British passport holder applies for a visa with the intention of running a political campaign, the visa will not be issued.
PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui remarked that if Qasim and Suleiman come to Pakistan, they will melt in the country’s heat but will not be able to secure their father’s release.
He added that PTI founder Imran Khan can only be released through appropriate behavior.
Earlier, Imran Khan’s son Qasim also said in a post on X that his father is not allowed to speak to his children and is denied access to his personal physician. He said that Imran Khan has now spent over 700 days in prison.
