Iran has called on neighbouring countries to clarify their position regarding the recent attacks by the United States.
In a statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that more than 200 children and hundreds of civilians had been killed in bombardments carried out by Israel with US involvement.
He added that some reports suggest certain states hosting American forces were encouraging the violence, and urged those neighbouring countries to clearly state their position.
Meanwhile, according to Arab media reports, Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani delivered a strong message to Muslim countries, saying Iran would stand firm in its struggle against the United States and Israel. He said Muslim nations must decide which side they stand on.
Larijani also expressed regret over what he described as the lack of support from Muslim-majority countries after the attack on Iran. He stressed that Iran could not be expected to remain silent in the face of such actions.
He said the real conflict today places the United States and Israel on one side and Iran along with resistance forces on the other, asking Muslim countries to determine where they stand.
The Iranian leader also called for unity among Muslim nations, saying Iran does not seek dominance in the region but wishes to see the Muslim world united. He further claimed that the United States and Israel were not loyal partners to regional countries but rather their adversaries.
