Along with the recent wave of terrorism in the country, the inflation is also increasing day to day but the rulers have completely shut their eyes on the issue of horrific hike in the prices of basic commodities. After a whopping increase in the prices of petroleum products, the price of everything have been increased, which is directly affecting a common man.
The poor people who used to go to utility stores to get their necessities are not spared there either. Prices of dozens of branded items have been increased at utility stores, shampoos, soaps, washing powder, oil, milks, pulses and dozens of others things are now out of the reach of poor people.
According to Pakistan’s National Bureau of Statistics (PBS), inflation has increased by 27.6 percent compared to last year until January 2023, which is a huge increase. The current government is blaming the previous government for the current economic crisis and high inflation in the country. But the reality is that Shahbaz Sharif government has failed to resolve the economic issues of the country.
Blaming previous government to hide own failure is not a new thing in the country. Every government do this but it is not the solution. The present government should stop blaming others and do its best to fix the country’s economy. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has admitted that Pakistan is bankrupt. The current government should perform well instead of blaming the previous government and take measures on an emergency basis to provide relief to the people.
