A woman endured a harrowing assault and torture at the hands of a man with whom she had been in a relationship in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh.
The perpetrator, identified as her neighbor, allegedly coveted her family’s property, registered under her mother’s name. Upon her refusal to relinquish ownership, he resorted to violence, inflicting severe injuries on her.
The assailant brutally beat the woman, inflicted chili powder into her eyes and mouth, and sealed her mouth with adhesive. Subsequently, the victim was rushed to the district hospital in critical condition, where she remains under intensive medical care due to the extent of her injuries.
The victim’s father had passed away, leaving the ancestral home registered in her mother’s name. The accused, driven by a desire to acquire the property, targeted the victim in a vicious manner when she resisted his demands.
Following the victim’s testimony, law enforcement arrested the accused and launched an investigation into the matter. According to ASP Maan Singh Thakur, the incident occurred on Tuesday, revealing a deteriorating relationship between the victim and the perpetrator over the past two years.
Furthermore, authorities discovered illegal liquor at the accused’s residence, adding another dimension to the case.
