An Indian cop has claimed that sprinkling Gangajal and applying a sandalwood teeka can improve law and order in Uttar Pradesh.
Nauchandi police station SHO Prem Chand Sharma’s ‘safety protocol’ includes applying a mix of sandalwood and ‘gangajal’ on visitors’ foreheads, and ‘mantras’.

Many people have reacted to this bizarre way of improving law and order in the country. Some of the users believed that the Britishers were far better at following the code of conduct and rule book than him.
Some thought the cop failed to control crime in the Nauchandi police station area because of doing other trivial things. And few supported his act and found positivity in his initiative:
