Rain in Punjab’s provincial capital Lahore broke a 30-year record on Wednesday, turning roads into puddles and disrupting power systems. Citizens also faced difficulties in transportation.
The city administration of Lahore claims that the rainwater has been drained from several areas, but many areas are still submerged in water.
Canal water also came on the roads on Canal Road yesterday. In China Scheme and Garhi Shahu, rainwater flooded houses and shops.
The highest rainfall was recorded in the Lakshmi Chowk area of Lahore at 295 mm. Many citizens also enjoyed the rain and during this time, public traffic continued on the roads.
