Imran Khan and terrorism

The night between August 21 and 22 of this month was marked by political turmoil during which Mahmood Maulvi made history by defeating the candidate of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and other political parties for the National Assembly Constituency NA-245, while the focus also remained on Imran Khan.

What happened was that the government, which was trying to arrest former Prime Minister Imran Khan, after a case of terrorism was registered against him for his threatening speech during a demonstration in Islamabad. This sparked protests in Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi, Lahore and other cities of the country.

What were these demonstrations? In the light of PTI’s narrative, consider it a declaration of jihad against the so-called imported government. However, the PML-N leaders said that it is necessary to arrest Imran Khan because he interfered in the work of the government and those who obey the government’s orders were threatened with action.

If you look at the text of the terrorism case, it shows that Imran Khan is a terrorist because he made a speech against the IG, DIG and Magistrate, which was intended to terrorize the judiciary and the police. Fear was spread among the police, the judiciary and the public.

Earlier, accusations of inciting rebellion and creating hatred against the army were also leveled against Imran Khan, but the current government must understand that defeating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will not be such an easy task because it is the party that won the Punjab by-elections. It wiped out a party like Pakistan Muslim League-N.

Recently, Muttahida leader Muhammad Abu Bakr contested the NA-240 constituency by-election and gained victory after which there was a perception that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) is once again gaining strength in Karachi.

Anyway, NA 245 is not a bygone constituency but it is the constituency from where Aamir Liaquat Hussain successfully became a member of the National Assembly and this seat became vacant due to his death. When Aamir Liaquat became successful, Muttahida said that Aamir Liaquat took the vote in our name, while PTI leaders maintained that they were voted in the name of Imran Khan.

If this narrative is put forward, the victory of Mehmood Maulvi is actually the victory of Imran Khan who is facing legal action by the federal government.
