A planned maintenance shutdown will be carried out across several electricity feeders on Sunday, August 30, 2026, according to a shutdown schedule issued by K-Electric.
The planned outages will affect residential, commercial and institutional areas at different times throughout the day as maintenance work is undertaken on the power distribution network.
The shutdown schedule shows that most affected feeders will experience outages during daytime and evening hours, while the duration varies considerably from one area to another.
Some feeders are scheduled for relatively short interruptions, whereas others will remain shut down for several hours.
Among the areas listed, Computer Building feeder is scheduled for a shutdown from 8:00am to 8:00pm, while Grind Wheel will remain affected from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Korangi Crossing, Mehran Town and Yasir Associates have comparatively longer shutdown windows, with power interruptions scheduled from 9:00am to 10:00pm.
The schedule also includes Meezan Bank, Mehrun Nissa Hospital and S.G.S Karsaz, where shutdowns are planned until 8:00pm. International Gum has one of the shorter windows, from 7:00am to 2:00pm, while Pole-49 is scheduled for an interruption from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
Several other feeders, including A.D.B.P, Abdullah More, Bank Quarter, CBR Income Tax Building, Eastern Services, Jama Cloth RMU, Jattle Rice, Mercury Garment, P-V26 RMU, Shah Stadium (Old Deh Taiser-5), Shama Flour and Zamzam Flour, are scheduled for maintenance-related shutdowns between 9:00am and 6:00pm.
Feeders such as Al-Karam Towels SS, Aslam Pervaiz and Euro Gulf are scheduled to remain without power from 8:30am to 6:00pm, while Falcon Plaza has a shutdown window from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Akber Motors and Cast Iron are listed for interruptions from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
Residents, businesses and institutions in the affected areas are advised to take the scheduled shutdown timings into account and make necessary arrangements for essential electrical needs.
The maintenance programme is intended to facilitate work on the electricity distribution system and may result in temporary power interruptions during the specified periods.
The shutdown schedule covers 29 feeders, with start times ranging from 7:00am to 10:30am and end times extending as late as 10:00pm on August 30.
