KARACHI: Land Mafia has begun to illegally construct on the public land due to the partial lockdown imposed in the city.
Due to the lockdown and restrictions imposed by the government, the illegitimate occupation has suddenly surged in Karachi. The illegal work is underway on three different plots near Gulshan Buner Madrasah and near Gulshan Buner ground in Karachi.
According to sources, the police officer named Saifullah has been accused of granting the occupied land at Rs 20,000 per plot because as per his designation, he decides the matter of the construction on the plots.
The police are involved in reporting at different spots of the city due to the lockdown, on the other hand, Saifullah had already allocated people plots worth Rs. 60,000 illegally and allowed them to construct on the land. In Gulshan Buner, the construction has been underway day and night.
The residents of the area have demanded Chief Minister Sindh, Commissioner Sindh, and Deputy Commissioner Malir to immediately take legal action in stopping the illegal occupation and construction and take strong action against the police officer involved in the matter.
