Manchester City thrashed Copenhagen as Erling Haaland continued his incredible scoring form with two more goals, while Chelsea picked up their first Champions League win with a 3-0 victory over AC Milan.

Elsewhere, Jude Bellingham became the third youngest captain in Champions League history while Dortmund brushed aside Sevilla, 4-1. Juventus gained ground with its first Champions League win, a 3-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa but an Angel Di Maria hat trick of assists can’t close their four-point gap between the leaders.

Haaland’s effort at a fourth hat-trick for City was stopped at halftime, but his first-half double gives him 19 goals overall in his first 12 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Without him, City was far too swift and shrewd for their Danish opponents, and if it weren’t for Kamil Grabara, the goalkeeper for Copenhagen, the game would have been ended with City scoring at least 8.

Chelsea was able to defend Stamford Bridge despite losing Wesley Fofana to an injury in the first half. England right-back Reece James was the star man as they eventually overpowered Milan. Things are tight now with only two points separating Group E leaders RB Salzburg from the fourth-place team, Dinamo Zagreb.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid defeated Shakhtar Donetsk by a slim margin at the Santiago Bernabeu to make it three wins from three in the Champions League this year.

The holders’ early dominance became apparent when Rodrygo scored first and Vinicius Jr. later added to the lead.

Oleksandr Zubkov’s well-placed header gave the Ukrainian visitors hope.

Although the Spanish powerhouses was getting closer to earning their place in the knockout rounds, Shakhtar was unable to find a leveler.

A convincing 3-1 victory for Juventus over Maccabi Haifa could boost their confidence. Juventus was anticipated to win the match. While Andre Rabiot scored a hat trick, Angel Di Maria recorded a hat trick of assists. Wojciech Szczesny was caught out of his net, which Max Allegri will find disappointing, but they still did enough.

They have never lost three consecutive Champions League games, so Allegri won’t have to deal with that depressing result on Wednesday. Although they will need more of this to get to the knockout rounds.
