LAHORE: Former information minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has slammed the unification of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) factions, saying that ‘goons’ are uniting in Karachi to counter PTI’s popularity.
“The recent political development in Karachi in connection with the unification of all factions of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement is a conspiracy to disrupt peace in the city.” The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader said during an interview with ARY News.
The former federal minister criticized the unification of MQM factions, saying that every stakeholder has played a role to end the politics of violence from Karachi.
The state did not support the officers who took part in the Karachi operation, according to Fawad Chaudhry, who also claimed that thugs were now banding together to cause trouble in Karachi.
He further claimed that the ‘goons’ of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were uniting to counter Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) popularity in Karachi.
Fawad also alleged that Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori was involved in criminal activities and had play a role in land grabbing. However, he said, citizens of Karachi will reject these criminals.
Earlier, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain tweeted that the establishment once again wants to make its own party in Karachi. “The city of Karachi was the city of lights. Then the establishment thought that there should be a party of its own.

The MQM was created by gathering all the goons. The game of fire and blood was played for decades. It hardly ended. Now some forces again try to collect a pile of gunpowder to stop the way of the PTI and make celebrations in the city.”
