ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has advised the opposition to postpone the procession in view of the increasing coronavirus cases.
Fawad Chaudhry took to Twitter and wrote that the politics of agitation should be put off in the public interest,” he tweeted.

“The politics of agitation should be put off in the public interest,” he tweeted, underscoring the need for creating an environment conducive to dialogue. He urged individuals respected in both the government and opposition circles to come forward and play their role in paving the way for purposeful dialogue between the two,” he wrote in a tweet.
It should be noted that the second wave of coronavirus has hit the country and several cases are being reported every day. However, the opposition parties are adamant about holding rallies in any case.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had told the opposition that the meetings would not harm the government due to the rising cases of the coronavirus. “Do not endanger the lives of the people,” the prime minister said.

Commenting on the coronavirus epidemic situation, the prime minister said that the rallies and processions were endangering the lives of the people. “The current situation in coronavirus has to be addressed as a nation,” he said.
The prime minister said that during the first wave, the nation followed the SOPs together. He said that the situation in India and Iran is worse than in Pakistan but we can be safe from it by following SOPs.
