MUZAFFARABAD: Famous TikToker Wafa Hussain has nearly skipped an assassination attempt after being shot.
Hailing from Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad, the TikToker was shot in the Dadial area. The condition of the social media sensation is said to be critical after she escaped an attempt on her life.
In this regard, the police arrested the man who opened fire at the TikToker. The assailant is her nephew who claimed that Hussain has falsely accused him of stealing Rs 20,000 from her purse.
Women in Pakistan are dealing with a worsening situation where they fear for their safety in the face of rising incidents of assault. Earlier this month, a TikTok named Ayesha Akram was seen being brutally attacked by hordes of men in Lahore even as Pakistan celebrated its Independence Day.

The incident was among the top hashtags on Twitter #minarPakistan and #400 men were among the hashtags being used by outraged people who expressed their shock and disgust at the violence against the woman. The woman filed a complaint with police in which she alleged that a mob of around 400 people attacked her and her friends while she was filming a video near Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14.
