Talking to newsmen, DIG Islamabad Sohail Zaffar Chattha said local police saved the capital from major destruction. Narrating the facts, he said a suspicious vehicle with two people including a woman on board was spotted this morning approaching Islamabad at around 10:15am.  The vehicle was stopped for checking by Eagle Squad, on which the male suspect with long hair carried out the explosion. He further said that 4 cops and 2 civilians were injured in the blast, while constable Adeel embraced martyrdom.

Meanwhile, security has now reportedly been beefed up following the I-10 explosion and strict arrangements have been made on roads and ways leading to the capital’s Red Zone.
