With thousands of worshippers filling the mosque’s courtyards, traditional ambulance access can be challenging, so, to enhance emergency medical response at the Prophet’s Mosque during the busy Umrah season in Ramadan, the Madinah Health Cluster has introduced an emergency scooter service.
This initiative aims to ensure swift medical assistance by allowing paramedics to navigate through dense crowds efficiently.

The scooters enable medical teams to quickly reach those in need, provide immediate care, and, if necessary, transport patients to nearby hospitals and healthcare centers, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Since the service’s launch, 91 individuals have already received medical assistance. Patients were referred to healthcare facilities in the central area, including Al-Shifa Health Endowment, Haram Emergency Hospital, and the Safiyyah and Bab Jibreel Urgent Care Centers.
The initiative underscores the Madinah Health Cluster’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors, SPA reported.
