Eid Milad-ul-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam is being celebrated today with great religious fervor and solemnity.
The day dawned with a thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and a twenty-one-gun salute at all provincial capitals. It is a public holiday today.
Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer for unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country.
The main event of the day will be the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference to be held in the Federal Capital today.
The theme of the conference is Protection, Development and Character Building of the Younger Generation in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam.
Milad processions are being taken out in all cities in which Ulema and Khateeb are highlighting all aspects of life of Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam, stressing adherence to his teachings and Sunnah.
Streets, roads, buildings, mosques and houses have been decorated with green buntings, flags, colorful lights to mark this auspicious occasion.
