Educationist Prof Anwar Ahmedzai passes away
KARACHI: Renowned educationist and Director of the Ziauddin Education Board Professor Anwar Ahmedzai passed away in Karachi on Sunday.
He had been under treatment at a private hospital for the past few days and passed away after a brief illness.. His funeral prayers will be offered after Asr prayers at Hassan Bin Sabit mosque near University of Karachi.
Prof Ahmedzai had served as the chairman of the Karachi Intermediate board, Karachi Matriculation board, and the Mirpurkhas board. He also served as the EDO Karachi and an additional secretary of the education department.
Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani and Vice-Chancellor Ziauddin University Dr Asim Hussain offered their condolences to the bereaved family over the demise of Prof Anwar Ahmedzai.
