Actress Daisy Shah has hit back at a social media troll who trolled her for cooking iftari, dismissing the attempt to link her eco-friendly stance against firecrackers with her festive cooking as baseless and divisive.
A social media user who targeted her after a video of her cooking malpua (jalebis) for iftari went viral. The troll referenced her earlier objection to firecrackers, writing, “Meet Daisy Shah. She has a problem with firecrackers, but she visits Iftaar parties and cooks there as well.”

Dismissing the comparison, Daisy called out the attempt to spread hatred in the name of religion. She tweeted, “Fire crackers and cooking food are completely different from each other. Good luck with spreading hate in the name of religion. I hope you get well soon.”
Daisy has previously been vocal about the environmental harm caused by excessive firecracker use, especially during festivals like Diwali.
