MULTAN: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday killed five terrorists in an operation in Rojhan, district Rajanpur district of Punjab.
The CTD received a tip-off and conducted a search operation in Arbi Taba area. The terrorists opened fire after seeing the security forces. As a result, five terrorists were shot dead in the exchange of fire.
A large number of arms and ammunition along with an improvised explosive device weighing around 10 to 15 kilograms was recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
Earlier on 10th June, two terrorists belonging to a banned outfit were apprehended in a raid by CTD in Bhakkar. The suspects named Muhammad Ullah and Fazal Razzaq were involved in suspicious activities, said a CTD spokesperson.
Donation receipts and banned literature were recovered from their possession by law enforcement officials. CTD police station registered an FIR and a case has been filed to investigate the matter.
