QUETTA: Civil Judge Israq Mandokhail was locked inside a courtroom by a female lawyer after a heated quarrel during a case hearing in Quetta.
The confrontation between lawyer Farzana Khilji and Judge Mandokhail escalated quickly, culminating in the dramatic closure of the courtroom doors.
The altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over procedural matters during the ongoing case. Following the argument, Khilji, along with several other lawyers, locked the courtroom doors. The entire incident was captured on video, which rapidly spread across social media.
The footage shows Khilji physically locking the courtroom, an act that has sparked concerns about the legal profession’s respect for judicial authority.
Although the immediate confrontation has subsided, the viral video has ignited widespread debate about the dynamics between the judiciary and the legal community in Pakistan. Legal experts emphasize the need for mutual respect and the maintenance of judicial decorum to prevent such incidents in the future.
