ISLAMABAD: The extension of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shahbaz Gill, who was produced in the District and Sessions Court on charges of inciting rebellion in institutions, has been rejected.
According to the details, Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir sent Shahbaz Gill to jail while pronouncing the reserved judgment this morning. Earlier, the police produced Shahbaz Gill before the duty magistrate today after completing his two-day physical remand. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion.
Earlier, the police also conducted a medical examination of Shahbaz Gill on the order of the court, the report of which was submitted by the police in the court.
It should be noted that the courtroom was packed before the PTI leader’s hearing. Shahbaz Gill’s lawyer told the court in what position the Advocate General came, to see the government’s intervention. On this occasion, the court directed the non-essential people to go out from the premises.
Fawad Chaudhary and others spoke to the PTI leader on his order to meet the legal team. The police requested further physical remand of Shahbaz Gill in court. The investigating officer said that Shahbaz has taken the audio program CD of Gill, which has been matched. One mobile phone was left in his car, the other was with him.
Shahbaz Gill told the court that it was 4 o’clock at that time, no mobile phone was working, and there was no signal. He said that I was tortured, the marks of which are there. A physical checkup has not been done while they are not being allowed to meet the lawyers. “I am kept awake all night,” said Shahbaz Gill, while showing the marks of torture on his back, and asked the court to look at the fake medical report.
He said that he could not even think about his forces to say such a thing. On this occasion, Advocate General Islamabad Jahangir Khan Jadoon told the court that it was the transcript that was read, it is not being told who is behind it.
Barrister Jahangir Khan Jadoon told the court that he has hidden the driver in Bani Gala. He requested for further physical remand of the accused, to which Shahbaz Gill’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhary objected and said that there is no need for physical remand for the polygraphic test, they can do it anyway.
The court reserved its decision on the request for an extension of physical remand. Later, while pronouncing a safe verdict, Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir rejected the request for an extension of remand and sent Shahbaz Gill to jail.
