KARACHI: The coronavirus has claimed 4 lives in Pakistan in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 6,383.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, around 539 patients have been affected in the country in the past 24-hours, taking the tally to 302,020 new cases of coronavirus. So far, 289,806 victims have recovered in the country. In the last 24 hours, 28,823 tests have been performed.
The number of coronavirus cases in Sindh has reached 132,084, 97,760 cases have been reported in Punjab, 36,992 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 13,595 in Balochistan, 15,941 in Islamabad, 2,421 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 3,227 in Gilgit.

The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 2,217 in Punjab and 2,445 in Sindh, while the number has risen to 1,257 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 178 in Islamabad, 145 in Balochistan, 76 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 65 in Azad Kashmir.
According to the government, the graph of coronavirus cases in Pakistan is constantly coming down but the threat is not over yet. One hundred and fifty-three deaths were reported in June, but coronavirus’s graph is now falling sharply.
The first case of coronavirus in Pakistan was registered on 26th February. On the international front, India has reported 94,372 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking total cases past 4.7 million, as infection numbers rose in several states amid a gradual opening up of businesses. The number of deaths rose to 78,586, with 1,114 new deaths, according to health ministry data.
