LAHORE: Punjab information minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has demanded that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif should be tested again for coronavirus.
While addressing media in Lahore today, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said that Shehbaz Sharif’s tests should be conducted from the Aga Khan University Hospital and Shukat Khanum Hospital or at one of the government hospitals. “If his test turns out positive, he should be quarantined for 14 days,” he said.
“When he recovers after 14 days, the PML-N leader will have no reason to be in quarantine. He will have to be answerable for his corruption before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) once he recovers,” he stated.
Shehbaz Sharif had earlier on Thursday tested positive for the coronavirus. The 69-year PML-N president has isolated himself at home.
Shehbaz Sharif, who is a cancer survivor has been following the doctor’s advice to deal with the coronavirus. He had himself tested for COVID-19 after showing mild symptoms of the infection.
According to him, the result of the test came back positive on Tuesday afternoon. Moreover, earlier this week, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb along with her mother had tested positive for the coronavirus.
