Noureen Aslam, the widow of martyred Sindh Police officer Chaudhry Aslam, has strongly criticized the makers of the upcoming Indian film ‘Dhurandhar’ over its alleged misrepresentation of her late husband and sensitive political figures.
The controversial Bollywood film, which features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt, is scheduled for release on December 5.
In an exclusive interview with Geo Digital, Noureen Aslam openly discussed the film’s negative portrayal of Chaudhry Aslam’s character, its depiction of the notorious criminal Rehman Dakait as a hero, and the ambiguous inclusion of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
She expressed severe outrage over a specific dialogue in the film’s trailer, which suggested Chaudhry Aslam was born from a union between the devil and a jinn. “This sentence maligns Chaudhry’s mother,” she asserted in the interview. “We are Muslims living in an Islamic country; our women do not have relations with the devil or jinn. Chaudhry’s mother was a pious and virtuous woman.”

Noureen Aslam defended her husband’s legacy, emphasizing his loyalty: “Chaudhry was loyal to his soil.” She contrasted the film’s approach with Indian writers who consistently portray Pakistan as a terrorist state.

She also questioned why Rehman Dakait, whom she described as a mere extortionist and drug dealer, was elevated to the status of a major terrorist, noting that Chaudhry Aslam had successfully encountered far bigger threats like the TTP.

Furthermore, she demanded a response from PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the film’s ambiguous depiction of the party.

She highlighted a scene in the trailer showing a political rally where an image of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto appears alongside the public and Rehman Dakait, questioning the filmmakers’ intended message.
Noureen Aslam warned that she reserves the right to pursue legal action if the film attempts to spread propaganda against Chaudhry Aslam upon its December 5 release.
