Blast at Quetta mosque claims five lives

QUETTA: A blast in Kuchlak area has claimed lives of at least five people and injured fifteen others on Friday.
According to details, the blast occurred inside a mosque in Kuchlak area of Quetta on Friday afternoon.
According to an initial investigation report by the police, the blast occurred due to an explosive material which was planted inside the mosque.
Chief of Police Abdul Razzaq Chmeea said, “The blast was carried out through a timed device that was planted under the wooden chair of the prayer leader.”
Police said that the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, while emergency has been declared at Civil Hospital Quetta.
Police have closed the area and a bomb disposal squad has been requested.
Earlier on 6th August, one person was killed and twelve others injured in an explosion on Mission Road area in Quetta where most of the shops were owned.
The provincial Home Minister Mir Zia Ullah Langau confirmed the casualty that a person died immediately after the blast and other twelve were injured including two children.
