Islamabad: Federal Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir has dismissed statement by US President about Pakistan’s nuclear program as “baseless.”
Talking to the newsmen in Gujranwala, Khurram Dastgir said that international agencies had verified the safeguards protecting Pakistan’s nuclear program not once but dozens of times, and had termed command and control system as absolutely safe.
Khurram Dastgir said that Pakistan’s nuclear program had been following all kinds of internationally recognized safety standards and protocols.
He said that the statement of the American President on Pakistan’s nuclear program had no basis at all.
The US President Joe Biden, it may be recalled here, had alleged that Pakistan may be “one of the most dangerous nations in the world” as the country has “nuclear weapons without any cohesion”,
