Authorities in Balochistan have announced the temporary shutdown of all educational institutions across the province due to the current security environment.
According to a notification issued by the provincial education department, every school in the province—both public and private—will remain closed starting tomorrow until March 23 as a precautionary step to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff.
The order also applies to higher education institutions. The Secretary for Colleges confirmed that all colleges and universities throughout Balochistan will suspend academic activities during this period.
As a result, classroom learning across the province’s education system will remain halted for more than two weeks. Educational institutions are expected to reopen after Pakistan Day on March 23, provided the security situation improves.
Despite the closure of campuses, some education-related initiatives will continue. Officials stated that the ongoing school enrolment campaign will proceed as scheduled, aiming to bring more children into the formal education system.
