The first foldable iPhone from Apple is expected to be unveiled in September 2026.
A report by Bloomberg has revealed possible details about the price and name of Apple’s first foldable iPhone. According to the report, the device may be called the iPhone Ultra, with a price expected to exceed $2,000.
The report noted that the “Ultra” branding is likely inspired by the Apple Watch Ultra, which is currently the most expensive model in Apple’s smartwatch lineup. Similarly, the foldable iPhone is expected to become the most expensive iPhone released by the company.
Earlier leaks have suggested that Apple’s foldable device will differ from other foldable smartphones currently available in the market.
When unfolded, the device is expected to feature a 7.8-inch display, while the outer screen will measure 5.5 inches when folded. The phone is also likely to include the A20 Pro chip along with a 5,500mAh battery.
Its camera design is expected to resemble that of the iPhone Air, but in an all-black finish. The module may include two cameras, a microphone and a flash, giving the device an appearance similar to the iPad Pro.
The foldable iPhone is reportedly expected to be introduced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September 2026.
