Celebrities still struggle with severe mental health problems even after they have attained the pinnacle of achievement. Even Angelina Jolie suffered from these mental health problems as she recalled her will to live at the age of 19.
Jolie broke everything down by recalling how ‘difficult’ the first few years in Hollywood were life for her, so much so that she wound up contemplating suicide at the of 19.
She said there was a time when she was ready to give her life up. In order to do so, she went to the lengths of even hiring a hitman to kill her, as she didn’t want to commit suicide.
Things weren’t going well for Angelina Jolie early in her career. She struggled with mental health concerns for a long time and frequently considered suicide.
She reportedly made her first attempt at suicide when she was just nineteen years old. Jolie discussed how things became so terrible that she hired a real hitman to kill herself in an interview with The Face. The hitman, however, ended up being the one who convinced Jolie to reconsider her choice and give life another shot.
Elaborating on this, Jolie stated that she knew the effect her suicide would have on her family and friends, and she didn’t want them to go through those horrible, self-blaming emotions.
Jolie even went into the details of her plan where she decided to “take out cash over a certain amount of time” so people would not find it suspicious seeing such a huge sum sent to the guy who almost took her life. Thankfully, Jolie decided not to go through with her heart-wrenching plan.
