ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized a huge quantity of drugs in various parts of the country.
The drugs were mostly recovered from Peshawar, Islamabad, Jehlum and Quetta.
According to details, 100 capsules filled with heroin were found in the passenger’s stomach. The suspect was traveling from Peshawar Airport by flight number PA-612.
Meanwhile, in another operation on Quetta Mastung Road, the suspect named Mohammad Rafiq was found with 5 kilograms of marijuana.
In another sting operation, 0.910 grams of ‘Ice’ was recovered from a parcel bound for Norway in an International Courier Office located in Islamabad.
While in the fourth operation, 2,400 kg of opium and 43,200 kg of hashish were recovered from a Suzuki Ravi pick-up near Jhelum GT Road.
Moreover, 2 accused were apprehended when 24 kg of drugs were recovered from their Suzuki Alto car CNG cylinder in Islamabad toll plaza.
Total of 6 suspects were arrested and booked under the Narcotics Prevention Act. Further investigations are underway.
